LA/TM-015 Geitebuvarden

When we first arrived at the summit I worked Aage on Svarteberget S2S on 2m and I found out my pencil and logbook was left back home. I decided to run over to the view point by the cairn 5-10 minutes away from the true summit to look for a spare pen and maybe a sheet of paper from the visitor book. I found both! Back on the summit I struggled to get the needed QSOs. To make it even worse a hailstorm suddenly appeared. After finally getting the 4th QSO we decided to pack up and get back to the cairn to put back the pen before heading home.

LA/TM-015 Geitebuvarden

This morning I headed towards Geitebuvarden again. I started to call cq on 14.285MHz after self spotting on sotawatch. After some time with no answers I QSYed to 7.127.5MHZ. I had 22 contacts on 40m before going back to 20m but still no answers.

I did my activation on the highest point before I walked the 400m to the wooden cairn where the video was taken.

BTW: This activation gave me the extra points I needed to reach my 100 activation points.

LA/TM-015 - Geitebuvarden

Today I activated LA/TM-015. I managed to get 16 qsos even though I had a lot of qrm on the frequencies. I'm really looking forward to march 29. when the BC-stations has to cease operation on 7.100 - 7.200. I tried to contact LA1KHA on 2m. I heard him but he was not able to hear me.

I stopped at the highest point (Toppen) and did not bother to walk all the way to the wooden cairn. Funny that the main cairn is located 400 meters away from the highest point.
